Basic power supply and tape transport control for Studer A80, A80R, A80RC, A80VU 1/4", 1/2", 1" and 2" machines. This is the absolute minimalist kit!! It does not include any board mounted capacitors, resistors or update components which are in the ELECTRONIC kit which we highly recommend you consider.
FOR all Studer A80 machines. This kit is for all models. It recaps the power supplies, motor capacitors and suppression components on various boards.
This kit provides the following replacements for:
- all large power supply can capacitors
- all motor capacitors with special custom manufactured capacitors. A80 takes 5 motor capacitors - more than any other Studer or Revox machine.
- all troublesome suppression capacitors and resistors on capstan & reel drive, braking / contactor boards
- electronic braking contactor relay

PLEASE NOTE: There are slightly different versions for single capstan 50 or 60hz and Normal Speed and High Speed versions. You must specify the correct kit as motor capacitors change with hz and speed.
