Nagra
Nagra tape recorders were produced from 1951 in Switzerland and were the industry standard sound recording systems for motion picture and early television production from about 1960 to 1990's. Their ability to synchronise to camera's using using a novel Pilot Tone system was unique. Their small size, portability and ruggedness earned them a reputation for reliability. Developed by Polish inventor Stefan Kudelski, the company won numerous technical awards over the years. Nagra means "it will record" in Polish.
Nagravox is developing a range of recap and calibration kits for most Nagra III and IV series machines as well as motor and mechanical system overhaul services. These will be slowly added to the web site.
