GLY2100 capstan lubricant by Klueber

Revox special capstan lubricant for  Studer A807, A812 and later Revox C270 tape recorders.

Lube kit - Gly2100 

This kit is for later capstan motors that use sintered bronze bearings and have a red sticker as shown below. These were fitted to later machines from 1988 onwards.

This kit contains:

• 5ml special klueber constant gly2100 synthetic lubricant in 5ml dropper bottle as factory specified for later revox / studer motors.  Enough for service and maintenance applications.
• 1x special applicator syringe with needle

Why 2 dispensers?  We find both are very useful so that you don't waste or make a mess.  The larger bottle dispenses normal type eye dropper size drops whilst the syringe fine needle dispenses micro sized drops to tight areas.  Both very useful and convenient.   

Please note:  we only use genuine constant gly2100 lubricant made by Kleuber in germany as specified by Revox, Studer and Nagra tape machines. It is very expensive oil but a little goes a long way. 

Capstan motors need lubricating every 500 hours or 6 - 12 months. 

Very important tip about lubricants:

• use the correct lubricant specified
• do not mix lubricants - ever! You will damage the motor.
