DTE-EH Capstan lubricant for Early Revox A77, 36 series & Studer A62, C37

Revox capstan and general purpose lubricant for all early Revox  A77 and Studer A62, C37 reel to reel tape recorders.  

This kit is for  earlier capstan motors that use a single open special low noise ball bearing and a bronze bush. 

This kit contains:

•  10ml special Mobil DTE extra heavy capstan lubricant in 10ml secure stopper bio sample container. As factory specified for earlier Revox / Studer motors. 

•  separate  bottle with fine needle for accurate and precise drop application

 For early A36 - F36 AND G36 early models you also in addition need to use equivalent to Teresso 43. We have the modern Mobil DTE-L series recommended equivalent with the same viscosity as Terresso 43.  

Capstan motors need lubricating every ~500 hours or 6 - 12 months and full clean and new bearing at ~2000 hours or 3 - 5 years. 

The DTH-EH and "Teresso 43" are fully compatible and can be mixed / changed over. The difference is their viscosity. They are for the early Revox, Studer, Tascam, Teac, Akai and many other machines of the 50's, 60's, 70's to early 80's.

VERY IMPORTANT TIP ABOUT LUBRICANTS

•  USE THE CORRECT LUBRICANT SPECIFIED

•  DO NOT MIX Mineral and Synthetic LUBRICANTS - EVER!

For later Revox and Studer capstan motors after 1987 the correct lubricant is Isoflex PDP65 or CONSTANT GLY2100 and no other lubricant should be used or mixed with it.
