BACKUP MEMORY kit for STUDER A810
Nagravox
REPLACEMENT NiMH BACKUP BATTERY for STUDER A810 micro-processor board
This should be considered an absolute MUST DO! Don't let it get to the point that the battery has corroded the surrounding IC terminals. Replace every 5 - 7 years. Not a big ask really.
Why Bother - my machine seems to work? When the backup battery fails, you lose your machines's audio calibration and it then runs on an emergency default approximate calibration data set.
FACT: MOST A810'S HAVE A FAILED BATTERY AND ARE RUNNING ON THE FACTORY DEFAULT EMERGENCY SET OF DATA THAT SETS UP THE WHOLE AUDIO CHAIN INCLUDING BIAS AND REFERENCE LEVELS.
How much better could these machines be performing on correctly calibrated and stored audio setting values.
General Info About This Kit. The kit contains specially sourced, new, freshly manufactured components from reliable manufacturers whom we have been dealing with for many years.
The Nagravox A810 backup battery replacement kit contains:
- A new German or Japanese manufactured Ni MH battery pack assembled in Australia. The battery is tested, charged and dated by Nagravox. We charge it using a sophisticated microprocessor controlled “burp” charger.
- DOES NOT contain replica cheap copycat batteries made in China - the later one generically available velly velly cheep, no work so long or so good!
- A detailed set of down loaded instructions detailing how to do it and how to preserve your calibration data in three different ways to make sure!
BATTERY REPLACEMENT. The battery should be replaced as part of the micro processor board service and update. Don’t let it get to the point shown in picture where corrosion has started to set in. You should replace the battery at least every 5 years. Earlier MP boards have a slightly different battery that clips into a clip which was later replaced with a more sturdy soldered in battery. Our earlier battery is supplied with flying leads so it can be securely soldered into place on the PCB like the later one.
