COMPREHENSIVE CONTROL SYSTEMS ELECTRONIC overhaul kit

FOR ALL Studer A80 machines. Comprehensively recaps and updates the power supplies, motor capacitors and tape transport control electronics.  All variations are catered for.  It does not include the audio systems which has separate kits depending on model. 

This kit provides the following replacements for:

• all electrolytic capacitors
• all tantalum capacitors
• all large power supply can capacitors
• all motor capacitors with special custom manufactured capacitors.  A80 takes 5 motor capacitors - more than any other Studer or Revox machine. 
• all troublesome suppression capacitors and resistors on capstan & reel drive, braking / contactor boards
• Fully enclosed cermet type preset potentiometers 
• OEM factory recommended updates and modifications
• special 100W current limit setup resistor
• electronic braking contactor relay

SPECIAL NOTES:

1. There are slightly different versions for single capstan  50 or 60hz and Normal Speed and High Speed versions.  You must specify the correct kit as motor capacitors change with hz and speed. 

• NORMAL Speed 50 hz

• HIGH Speed 60hz

2.  Many A80's do not have a mains filter but some do!  We have mains filters available. If your A80 has a mains filter then select that option in the pull down menu. A slightly higher power mains filter is provided for multi track 16 and 24 channel. Please add a note so we supply teh bigger one otherwise its teh standard one.
